Please note that our Friends program is currently on hold as we no longer have a permanent base.
We have made many new friends since we first opened Oxheys Mill Studios and met lots of interesting people, artists, creatives and art lovers. Having been asked many times how people can get more involved and work with us without renting a studio, we have set up a ‘Friends of Oxheys’ program open to anyone who can donate skills, equipment, time or money.
To become a ‘Friend of Oxheys‘ –
- help to invigilate exhibitions or lend a hand during hand-in or collection days, during open studio events or private views
- help with painting, maintenance, electrical or other odd jobs and repairs around the building (always lots to do!)
- actively support our efforts by participating in events, exhibitions and other activities
- help promote, advertise, market or some other form of PR support
- donate equipment or make a financial donation
In return, we offer –
- a warm, friendly welcome and a hot brew whenever you visit (maybe a biscuit too, if you’re lucky)
- an opportunity to be part of a creative environment alongside other artists
- opportunities to exhibit work or some permanent display space*
- listing as a Friend on the Oxheys website
- cross-promotion of any exhibitions and events you are part of
- lower commission rate on any sales of art made through Oxheys*
- opportunities to use the venue for workshops or other events*
- promotion of your company/product logo online and in the venue
Interested? Contact us to discuss ideas – we are open to suggestions
*depending on level of commitment
