Its been a busy few weeks of discussions and preparations for the forthcoming Open exhibition by Lancashire Artists Network, which we are proudly hosting for the second year. Opening on August 22nd with a Private View from 6-8pm, this years’ exhibition is promising to be even bigger and better than the last, from which we sold a record number of works on the opening night.
For this year, we have teamed up with the new Korova Arts Cafe in Preston who are providing some additional display space and another event on Saturday 24th August. With their help, LAN have been able to open the exhibition up to performing artists as well, so this years’ event is not just about visual arts.
We are getting excited as submission days are only a couple of weeks away – from 16th-18th August. We can’t wait to see the work that gets brought in and start the selection process. Then comes the job of installing it all, which is always enjoyable, if hard work but it is always fascinating to see a show take form. If you are interested in submitting work, further details and an entry form are on the LAN website
Don’t miss the Private View on 22nd August 6-8pm. Separate art event on Saturday 24th August at Korova Arts Cafe from 3pm
LAN Open exhibition opens Friday 23rd and runs until 21st September, open Fridays & Saturdays 11-4pm at Oxheys with other days/times to be advised. Satellite exhibition at Korova open during normal cafe opening hours.
